Hi Everyone,

Lindsay, get well soon.

Rose you've got a space now.

JR's suggestion of moving the meet to saturday is a good idea as the forecast is better, although only just.

Can people do Saturday instead of Sunday?

Helen thanks for the offer, anyone else interested who hasn't got a space?

Thanks,
Will

Forecast is still rather up in the air for this weekend, so it seemed sensible to ask the question about flexibility of day.

Well, if people want, on the least awful day, I'm willing to lead a walk that will go past a few Unknown Stonesareas so you can at least look at the lovely boulders! (It's also quite a cool walk).

Might be dryish Sunday keeping east? Might not be able to to unknown stone it though and might not be worth travelling far although I note the forecast for anston stones is dry ;) (i imagine seepage would be an issue there though). Spofforth/ Almscliff might be dry? Whatever happens with the meet, I might try get out on Sunday...

The trouble with Anston Stones is that, just like Whetherby, it's a sandy dolomitic limestone, meaning it's porous and looses a lot of strength when wet. Keep an eye on how much rain that part of the world is having.

Thanks JR, if you are happy to do that, that would be great. Doesn't look like it will be dry enough for climbing anywhere.

Right, I'm out on the Halloween walk tonight, but if anyone does want to chance a walk tomorrow, please post here - I'll check when I get back!

Helen will no doubt be trying to find dry rock somewhere!
