Tuesday 13th Wharncliffe

Postby Will S » Thu Aug 08, 2019 8:01 am

South Yorkshire style this Tuesday with the meet at Wharncliffe

Crag info:

Wharncliffe is a great quarried grit edge with loads of positive holds and plenty of gear. If you are relatively new to leading I recommend heading down as there's loads of easier climbing with plenty of gear.

I know it looks far but in reality its only about an hour away (unless you are coming from Harrogate or somewhere like that)

See you there.

This clashes with a friend's birthday do, so I'll be missing this one.

Wharncliffe is a great venue, hopefulyl you'll get decent weather for this!

I was planning on making the trip, it's actually one of the slightly easier ones to get to for me :)

I am planning to come as well if weather allows. Keith Tilley works pretty near to crag (north Sheffield) so should be able to give us a steer on weather check mid afternoon on Tuesday.

I'm also planning to climb there. Shall we drive together? What time are you thinking of leaving Armley? I'm OK to drive or catch a ride in your car.

I will be attending this one. Intending to get there late afternoon to avoid the rush hour.

Sure, I was going to sneak off early but I can push it back to 5.30 to allow for lift sharing!

Unfortunately I've too much to do after work before I can get climbing so I'm going to stay local :(
