Tuesday 11th September Baildon Bank

Postby Will S » Thu Sep 06, 2018 12:12 pm

This week's meet is Baildon Bank, perched on the edge of the moors above Baildon and bursting with local character.

Crag details are below:
https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=537

As its getting dark around 8 now it could be a relatively short meet before we head to Fanny's Ale house. Also Paul's pretty worried about the possibility of massive brambles so watch out!

Please post below if your are intending to come.

I'll be there.
Paul need not be afeared, the common Baildon Bramble is no match for the Ocun Jamming Glove.

I'll be there if it's not raining - it is my 2nd-closest crag after all!

I guess I'll need to put in my gardening gloves and a pair of secateurs then? ;-)

No worries then, Paul can punch the brambles into submission using his ocun crack gloves.

I'll be there. I'll also bring my Ocun bramble-beating gloves in case Paul doesn't show up to this meet.

Looking at the forecast, it will be raining overnight and into tomorrow morning, but it should be dry by the afternoon so we should be good to go.

I'm intending on walking up, so I'd be grateful for a lift to the pub and then home!

Ta!

As this is my very closest crag, weather dependant, I shall be there.

If I'm there then I can facilitate this. Hoping to be there but weather dependent.

Neil - do you fancy bringing the size 5 for a rematch with Satire?

Although with the days drawing shorter I might have to forgo Satire for a Moria rematch.

I’m happy to pick people up from Baildon or Shipley train station if you want to let me know when your trains get it. It’s abit of a trek from the stations to the crag!
