Thanks for the info John, hope you have a good stay with your Marsden lot. I think we did hear the the Kings House is not open. Hope to see you again soon. Paul
Oh dear I just looked up my lady personality ... " Catherine Monique Suzanne Destivelle is a French rock climber and mountaineer. In 1992 she became the first woman to complete a solo ascent of the Eiger's north face. She completed the climb in winter in 17 hours" I will have to do a bit of practice.

Don't think we'll have much need for winter gear, unfortunately
JR.
Makes sense JR, what time do you finish work?
Its looking like it could get a little colder next week so fingers crossed. If there's no snow around up there by Wednesday I think I may give it a miss. Its a long drive for a walk in the rain.
I can hardly blame you Will - looking at all the forecasts, we're about a week early for the re-emergence of winter!
It's really not justifiable for me to do a nigh-on 600mile round trip on my own (even if my current car is significantly more fuel efficient than the previous one).
Me and Mike have come to the same conclusion as Will. It's just too much travelling with such a poor forecast. We were both hoping for snow. Unfortunately we are bailing. I hope the forecast is wrong and those who go have a good one.
Just returned from spending 4 nights at this hut which were very enjoyable, despite the strong winds and rain....it was good to get out and enjoy the grandeur of the Scottish peaks and I'm looking forward to future trips in better weather.
Thanks to Karl for leading the meet and arranging the extra nights.
