Thanks for the info John, hope you have a good stay with your Marsden lot. I think we did hear the the Kings House is not open. Hope to see you again soon. Paul

Oh dear I just looked up my lady personality ... " Catherine Monique Suzanne Destivelle is a French rock climber and mountaineer. In 1992 she became the first woman to complete a solo ascent of the Eiger's north face. She completed the climb in winter in 17 hours" I will have to do a bit of practice.

Don't think we'll have much need for winter gear, unfortunately :-(

Makes sense JR, what time do you finish work?

Its looking like it could get a little colder next week so fingers crossed. If there's no snow around up there by Wednesday I think I may give it a miss. Its a long drive for a walk in the rain.

Original post updated with presumed transport arrangements, we need to limit to 5 cars so please try to lift share.

If you are staying any additional nights beyond Thurs ... Monday, then let me know immediately.

If you are staying extra nights then bring your cheque book with you.

This is your final reminder to pay your 2019 subs otherwise you will not be allowed on the meet.

I wont be organising a group meal but I am happy for someone else to.

Hi,

Looking at the forecast its going to be warm and wet in Glencoe this weekend so I'll be giving the meet a miss.

Sorry James if you were hoping to lift share and you're still going up.

I can hardly blame you Will - looking at all the forecasts, we're about a week early for the re-emergence of winter!

It's really not justifiable for me to do a nigh-on 600mile round trip on my own (even if my current car is significantly more fuel efficient than the previous one). :(

Forecast for this weekend is not inspiring, nonetheless Luke and I are still planning to head up and bag some munros.

If anyone else is inspired by torrential rain, poor visibility, long walks and terrible banter then get involved :)

Me and Mike have come to the same conclusion as Will. It's just too much travelling with such a poor forecast. We were both hoping for snow.
Unfortunately we are bailing. I hope the forecast is wrong and those who go have a good one.

Cheers

Just returned from spending 4 nights at this hut which were very enjoyable, despite the strong winds and rain....it was good to get out and enjoy the grandeur of the Scottish peaks and I'm looking forward to future trips in better weather.

Thanks to Karl for leading the meet and arranging the extra nights.
