24th-26th May Camping Meet - Cwmrhwydfor Tal Y Lyn

Postby LisaKate » Sun May 12, 2019 5:56 pm

Time for another bank holiday bash! This time we're heading to the easily pronounceable Cwmrhwyddfor campsite in Tal Y Lyn for another extended weekend of fun, frolic and BBQs...

The campsite is one of my personal faves (take from that what you will) and is situated below the magnificent Cadair Idris. There's walking of all difficulties as well as scrambling, rock climbing and seaside activities - including ice cream - just down the road. The campsite has a fantastic rating on The Google of 4.8 of the stars and has toilets, razor points, hot showers and wash basins with hot water supply, pets are allowed and they have space for vans/tourers with electricity hookups if you so wish.

More information on the site including directions here - https://www.walestouristsonline.co.uk/s ... ddfor.html

With all this and more, how can you resist this 4.8 star meet? Post below if you fancy it...

Do we / does one have to book the camp site?

No need to book, the meet leader will let the campsite know to expect LMC if that is necessary :D

Vicky and I are thinking of heading over if the forecast is fair.
Might put a bike of some type on the back of the car as well.

I'm interested in this meet too. Is it still going ahead? I'll probably go walking, all new hills for me. May walk in Snowdonia Friday then join you all Friday night.

Hi Kate & Andy, there appears to be not too much interest in this meet for some unknown reason. The weather also looks quite changeable so Mark and I are going to go our own way as we have a 4 day weekend.

Hey guys,

Weather is a bit of a mixed bag so far. Are there any silent lurkers considering this meet? As Vicky said, not had much interest so far!

Soooo given the lack of interest for this weekend, I'm cancelling it as an official LMC meet - please feel free to enjoy the mountains in your own way, and obviously, if you still want to go to the campsite, please feel free :D :D
