Buttermere Hut Meet - 20th/21st September

Hut details here: https://www.frcc.co.uk/venues/birkness/
Grid Ref: NY 186160
Address: Birkness, Buttermere, Cockermouth, Cumbria, CA13 9XA

We have booked half of the main hut (AKA the barn), giving us 7 male beds and 7 female beds.
There are two male and two female dorms. Bunk beds in all dorms.

Booking opens on 20th August for this weekend hut meet.
Please send cheques for £20 made payable to Leeds Mountaineering Club to my address, which is in the private section of the bulletin board.

This time we've booked the main hut rather than the annex. So should have unlimited hot water and easy access to the drying room.
Also, if we are lucky we may get some sightings of FRCC members in their natural habitat*.

Buttermere offers plenty of opportunities for walking and climbing.
There are two pubs in the village, The Fish and The Bridge. Both renowned for their hospitality.

Remember, he didn't specify in what sense their hospitality was renowned! ;-)

Sara and Mike have also said they intend to come on the meet. Possibly using their FRCC membership to leave room for on the LMC booking others.

Although I have heard that the rest of the hut is getting booked up.

Hi Georgina,

Your cheque arrived today.

I will be coordinating lifts a bit nearer the time of the meet, i.e. in the week before hand. In the meantime PM me through the bulletin board if you have any questions.

I'm assuming that you have paid subs and filled out a membership form and that you have been emailed the Members handbook.

Cheers,
Dave.

Georgina's subs are paid and the form has been filled out :) not sure if Andy has emailed out a handbook yet but if not it can be downloaded here: https://leedsmc.org/handbook

Hi Dave,

Please can I have 2 spaces for Myself (Martin) and a new Member (Chris). I'll pop the cheque in the post for both of us and make sure Chris sorts out his membership.

Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin,

Yes, we should just about be able to squeeze you in.

I'll post up on Wednesday to finalise transport arrangements.

Dave.

Hey! I sent a cheque last week but don’t think youve got it yet.

Would love to come, if I can hand in on the day if it doesn’t arrive?

Hi Kirsty,

I haven't received your cheque yet but you are welcome to come and bring a cheque.

Thinking about lifts - Where will you be travelling from on Friday and what time would you be able to set off?
