Grassingto Moor Walk

Postby Sambo » Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:29 pm

All

At the request of Mr Armitage, I will be attending the Grassington Moor walk this Sunday. I will be talking about the historic 17th and 18th century lead mines on the moor, as well as the work currently undertaken by the Grassington Mines Appreciation Group. We will be following the YDNP's lead mining trail as well as visiting some of the historic remains, with potential to walk past The Mossdale Caverns renowned as the UK's most dangerous caving system.

We will be meeting at 10:30 at the Yarnbury car park located at the end of Moor Lane leading North out of Grassington.
