LMC Committee Update 31 May 2020

Update from the Committee 31 May 2020

The Committee held a brief meeting today to discuss the latest easing of the lockdown situation and its impact on the LMC. We discussed the walks and huts meets, and in line with government advice (notwithstanding any rogue senior aide actions) will not be holding any meets (walks or huts) until at least the end of June. If anyone wishes to use the BB to co-ordinate a walk (in line with govt recommendations socially distanced and no more than 6), please go ahead. We don’t wish to put the walk leader in a difficult position so it wouldn’t be a formal LMC `event` but a way of staying in touch with potentially 5 others! We have a hut meeting (Tyn Lon) scheduled for July, but as yet we are unsure whether that will happen. Although highly unlikely, we will post on the BB should that meet be going ahead, and booking arrangements, once we know. Apologies but it wont be the usual 4 weeks notice. Apparently, we are living in exceptional circumstances.

As ever, we are keen to meet up as a club at some point this year.....watch this space, but your health and safety is paramount.

Remember, there is a wealth of information on the BMC site (good practice, advice, what`s what etc), so please check it out.

We have another meeting scheduled for 6 July, to consider any revised lockdown easing recommendations/ government advice, so if you wish to bring any issue to the committee, please get in touch before then.

Meantime, I hope you are all safe and well, and enjoying the glorious weather for which ever activity befits you!!
Stay safe
Sara (Chair) on behalf of the Committee.

Many thanks Sarae and the committee for this update. Like the idea of us planning some small group social distance walks....

Yes all good decisions there by the committee, Now it is legally up to 6 consenting adults we should get some informal walks going. Thanks to the committee for keeping us updated.

May your footsteps tread the unfrequented byways
