In the absence if Dave R, I would happily take charge of the stuffing.

HI
Do you need any sprouts or carrots? I'm offering to bring them.

I'm thinking that a lemon meringue pie would be a nice third pud, however I'm already regretting the journey up to Borrowdale with it!

If anyone is vegan, please let me know and I'll make a vegan pud instead. I have nice recipes for vegan courgette and chocolate cake and lime pie

This sounds AMAZING, even after being jostled around in the car a bit

Ha, almost forgot about K Shoes.

I'm sorry but I am going to bail from Kshoes despite the much appreciated Tayah's heroic effort with the cheque!
Two excuses:
Daughter wants me to go to newcastle to see her uni house and take her out for food
Husband doing a talk saturday night that I would feel guilty if I didn't heckle him

Enjoy everyone :D

Re, digestifs - So, my gift to the party will be some home made limoncello - which is coming along nicely. Would anybody like me to buy a bottle of something else for after dinner - Bailey’s, tia Maria, amaretto?

Dr Ponting and I were having a conversion this afternoon about whether it would be worth bringing backup lighting and cooking facilities given the seemingly fragile nature of Cumbria's electricity supply!

We perservered through 2019's Great Blackout, but it would be nice to be better prepared for one this time!

So - out of those coming, who's got recharable LED work lights, tealights (actually I've got loads, so we're good for them) and flat-style butane camping stoves, i.e. the kind that a frying pan or a large roasting tray could go on?

Cheers,

JR.

Can we go ‘bistro’ and kitchen disco again? I’ll bring some plug in fairy lights

Also, I will shove a small nut roast thing in, so if anyone wishes to join me in not having ham turkey or whatever, do let me know.
