Imagine for a moment you are an aspiring climber who wishes to savour unique routes on pristine rock and bask in the radiance of the south-facing crag. A place filled with unique flora (brambles), mesmerizing fauna (local youths) and culturally diverse contemporary art (graffiti).
Do I hear you ask what such a place could be? Well, it can only be the unforgettable Baildon Bank aka the "Marmite of the Yorkshire Grit".
When: 10th May
Where: Baildon Bank (https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/baildon_bank-537/)
Time: 6pm-ish (for myself, some may arrive earlier)
Parking: ample on the Green Rd (opposite the playground), then venture through the forest to reach the crag
New Members:
- please make sure you have registered on the club website - this is required to get temporary BMC insurance: https://www.leedsmc.org/application
- For climbing, we ask that you can tie in and belay safely and you will need a harness, shoes, belay device and we would strongly recommend a helmet
- some routes require an abseil so get that prussik ready
Post up if you're coming... destiny awaits
