Re: Monthly first Tuesday socials - Cross Keys

Good news. The Cross Keys is a nicer pub anyway. For a start it doesn't smell nasty. So, in there for 930 ish post wall?

Sorry one and all, my cold is still giving me a beating, I'm staying in for a Lemsip party. Next time. Bugger. I fancied getting out too.

Re: LMC Monthly Pub - 3rd Friday of (nearly) every month

Good stuff. I've got manflu so I won't be out late but I may stagger down there anyway if I haven't curled up and died by 8.

Re: LMC Monthly Pub - 3rd Friday of (nearly) every month

I've just booked us a table in the brewery area for the 19th. Not as comfy but I expect there will be too many for the sofas and its almost certain to be bitter outside. What sort of time are people planning to arrive, do you yet have a table number and how will we spot who's who? I know a few peop...

Re: Spring sun bolt trip?

I've just learned that I'm free from 10 Feb. I could be talked into going to Spain. I climb about 6a so the steeper crags are out of bounds. Who's in the gang so far?

If only we were the kind of people who are equipped with outdoor clothing and who are used to spendi...

Re: Cic hut trip. Beds going spare. March

The CIC hut is a hut owned by the SMC (Scot. Mtn. Cncl) on Ben Nevis. It's a 3 hour walk in from the road but the upside is magnificent (5 minute stroll) access to many of the routes on the Ben. You are about 100 yards from the bottom of Tower Ridge, Zero, Point Five, etc. You will need full winter ...

Dachstein mitts for sale

Yes, I know it's strange to sell extremely warm mittens in July. However I have a new, unused, still with labels pair of Dachstein mitts that I bought years ago, when I got them home they were size 8/XS which is too small for me. The size is probably about right for most women's hands. The new price...

Re: Crookrise Meet, Tuesday 20th June.

Forecast not promising. I don't mind taking a chance between showers for local stuff, but Crookrise is a bit of a hike for those of us closer to Leeds than Skipton if it's going to rain on arrival. However the Depot in June is about as appealing as root canal surgery, is anyone up for a Plan C of a ...

I've been as a tourist many times...

and once for the mountains with Corky.

It would be good to try some rock climbing, trad or sport.
That was a very good trip, for which we won a small award. I could fancy some easy trad stuff.
