Ilkley Quarry Wednesday 14th July

Post by JR »

Not wishing to steal Penny's thunder... but for those of us either West of Leeds or unable to leave early enough to make the schlep to Stanage worthwhile... anyone want to get out more locally?
And if so, any preference on where?

Wednesday evening could also be an option.

Cheers,

JR.

Hi Martin,

just wondering where might be viable (other than the obvious) given it's overcast, humid and there's almost no breeze. It'll be a midge feeding frenzy in a lot of places!

James,

I am acclimatized to the jungle conditions of Caley so happy with any greasy grit, so pleased I got the Rock 2 beta on Unfinished Crack on humidity Friday....Stevo is up for something tomorrow night so maybe postpone till then? Ilkley Quarry VS fest?

Yeah, I can do tomorrow evening instead.

It's not the grease per se, it's the midgies I'm concerned about!

A lad from the club is heading to Dovestones this evening I believe.

Martin I could probably do tomorrow evening as well. Also if it's Ilkley Quarry that's better for me. Not that I've climbed there before.

Thread title changed to reflect the most likely option for tomorrow evening.

James,

I think Steve is now favoring thursday but seeing as Jez is interested too I can do tonight as well. I can be in the quarry for 17:45.

See you later....

Primo summer evening connies @ the Quarry this evening - sunny, clear and breezy.

The routes are appalling over-grown though - I suspect pigeon poo is making an all too good fertiliser...
