1-2-3 Peaks 27th Oct 2019
1-2-3 Peaks 27th Oct 2019
Hello,
I'm planning on doing the three peaks as the official September walk.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours.
These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
If you would like to join the team on the Sunday 29th September please let me know.
why not just do one or two ?, we have had teams meet halfway.
Thanks John

Hi John
I could potentially be interested in this, obviously depending on the weather!
Thanks for suggesting it

I will be there, is anybody thinking of camping before/ after? Peter
Re: 1-2-3 Peaks
Very doubtful as I'm thinking it'll be cold during the night by then.Ainsworp wrote:I will be there, is anybody thinking of camping before/ after? Peter
I'll most likely be driving up early Sunday morning from Guiseley. If I have room you're more than welcome to have a lift.
Re: 1-2-3 Peaks
Thanks Sue, I’m expecting a warm autumn.........global warming and all that.
Let’s sort out when we know everybody who will be coming.

Hi Jon, I should be there depending on the weather. Possibly bringing Anna, a prospective member.

Ok, so the Indian summer didn’t last - unless you count monsoon season. So I won’t be camping. Instead I will probably catch the train. My train gets in at 10.15, so I will catch you up on Pen y gent.

Re: 1-2-3 Peaks
The weather looks pretty terrible on Sunday. Probably won’t be there unless there is a drastic change in the forecast.
Re: 1-2-3 Peaks
Due to the Weather Being a complete wash out on Sunday the walk will not take place this weekend.
I will postpone the walk until the October 27th 2019
Kind Regards
John

I'm Abbey Dashing that day so looks like I'm off the hook... I mean, looks like I'm sadly unable to attend.

You wouldn't have been able to get there by train anyway:

Though it doesn't state anything about the Skipton-Carlise trains (which would stop at Horton in Ribblesdale).

I'm thinking of doing this on Sunday, but will head off early cos I'm a slow walker and it gets dark early. So I may see some of you, and I may not.
Have fun.
