PCU lies just under Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa about 300m from Llanberis, convenient for Snowdon, Tryfan, and all manner or lovely walking, climbing, pints of tea at legendary mountaineering caff Pete's Eats, or rainy days out fancy gear shopping in Betws Y-Coed.
The hut itself is lovely (check out the tantalising views here: http://site.chestermc.org/huts/) and is a right bargain as it is currently rented at 50% capacity to allow for more social distancing so there are only 10 places at no extra cost to LMCers. An excellent chance of getting your mitts on that elusive bottom bunk!
This is the OFFICIAL meet thread so any updates to rules/regs/arguments about cheques (what even *are* cheques?) will occur here.
General
Hut meet bookings open one calendar month before the first day of the meet.
Booking is made by cheque (payable to Leeds Mountaineering Club, please don't write LMC as it upsets the bank...) delivered to the meet leader (not treasurer) by post - we have an online booking system in the pipeline but it isn't ready yet. Yes we really do mean cheque. You can request a cheque book from your bank.
My details are in the Private section from 30/8/21.
Cost is £12 per person per night.
Only members who have paid subs for the current year may book.
Dates of meets are listed as the nights which we will be sleeping in the hut.
The meet leader will post their details on the private section of the bulletin board so you know where to send the cheque to.
COVID
You must not attend the meet if you develop any symptoms of COVID19.
We encourage everyone to make use of the free lateral flow tests before attending a hut meet to ensure they are not COVID positive.
Please ensure good hand hygiene and use common sense during your stay to reduce the chance of transmission.
