K Shoes - Borrowdale 10th-11th December 2021
#########################################################################################
LATERAL FLOW TESTS - could everyone attending please do a LFT before arriving.
I'm off to see my ageing parents for Christmas and Omicron isn't on any list to Santa
#########################################################################################
Key Lock code in Private Board
It has come to pass, that COVID is not going to ruin another K Shoes Christmas Extravaganza!!!
We have the full use of the hut for 26 LMC'ers.
Lindsay has kindly put up a post re. the booking process (http://bb.leedsmc.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6389), given that we have quite few pre-Millennials that don't know / understand the concept of a cheque book.
BOOKING OPENS WEDNESDAY 10th NOVEMBER
Contact details in the Private Section
Normal ballot rules will apply if over subscribed. Molly (the cat) has offered to officiate (apparently cats can count before their first birthday, who knew).
A rather lacklustre first day. Worst in recorded history

I see Andy is leaving us waiting for the 'scores on the doors'!

After dinner liquors for me (Pete’s bar). I will run a ballot of preferences nearer the time.

The new intake of LMCers are clearly amateurs at this gameandymay wrote:

Yay!
I'm in.
Put me down for doing a soupy starter - possibly a harira - though after the last time it may be better I do something less inflammatory.
Cheers for organising Andy.

I made the cut! Happy to contribute a dessert... Perhaps a crumble?
Re: K Shoes - Borrowdale 10th-11th December 2021
I am happy to bring a dessert also. I am thinking a yule log? My taste and smell better be back by then

Re: K Shoes - Borrowdale 10th-11th December 2021
Maybe the youngsters still think they'll be recovering after the annual dinner!
Anyway, I'll do my usual and sort the spuds and (honey and mustard glaze) roast parsnips!

Oh no, my cheque hasn't arrived yet

Re: K Shoes - Borrowdale 10th-11th December 2021
I think you need to bribe Molly the cat for your cheque to 'arrive' on the first dayWill S wrote:Oh no, my cheque hasn't arrived yet

Re: K Shoes - Borrowdale 10th-11th December 2021
I don't think they've ever had to use cheques or snail mail before in their defense so it might take a bit of getting used to. There was definitely a thick layer of dust and cobwebs on my own cheque book when I eventually managed to excavate it from the back of a drawer...CathS wrote:The new intake of LMCers are clearly amateurs at this game

Even mine is now 'LMC only' by the looks of it's entries over the past few years!

Wot?! No update! The people demand to know who's made it through the hallowed door of K-shoes on Day 2!

I know me too! I even worked out how to use a stamp for this event
