Stanage - Sat 26th March
Stanage - Sat 26th March
The 'Climbing season' officially starts after the clock's change but what better way to celebrate than to sneak out for a sunny days climbing at Stanage beforehand.
The longest crag in the world...
Potentially three meet leaders for this one

2. Lukasz
3. David
4. Lindsay
5. Mat
6. Heike + Ed
7. Sarah
9. Marq & Vicki plus Family
10. Sophie
11. Graham

13. Kirsty
14. Peter
15. JR
16. Martin X
17. Stevo

...etc
Post up if your interested. Lots of low-mid grade classics for jamming practice.
Bonus points for anyone in Scotland who posts up before they come back to Yorkshire...
Parking at Hookes car park if your early : https://goo.gl/maps/6N7ge8EwuhzTvp9CA
Or the plantation if you arrive after 9.30 - bring your cash for the car park : https://goo.gl/maps/9Tmzm3989yxia94x9
We'll decide later which section we are aiming for... but Heaven Crack is the usual spot.

We're hoping to say hi with the kids if the weather is good. Heather has been talking lots about climbing.

I haven’t climbed outdoors before but would love to join. Is this suitable for outdoor beginners?
I can bring rope, harness, shoes but don’t have draws yet.

You'll need harness, helmet and shoes and be able to tie in with a suitable knot and belay a leader. If that all sounds fine then you'll just need to fill out the application form on the website if you haven't already before coming alongmatteckers wrote:I haven’t climbed outdoors before but would love to join. Is there any chance of a lift back to north Leeds at the end of the day?

Re: Stanage - Sat 26th March
I'm interested, but I'd strongly prefer to car share as it misbehaved whilst in Scotland and a vital trust relationship has been broken... but more importantly I won't be able to get it checked out before next week.
I'd be ok driving to someone's place in Leeds.
It's running ok now... but I need to get the fault codes read... before I wave it at a garage.
