Hol and Dave's climbing holiday in Southern France
Hol and Dave's climbing holiday in Southern France
Hol and I have just come back from our holidays, where we visited a bunch of sports climbing venues in Southern France (including the legendary Céüse). We also climbed one of the most spectacular alpine peaks - the Aiguille Dibona in the Ecrin Alps. If anyone is interested, I have some pictures here: https://plus.google.com/photos/10508018 ... yd62_Z-bLQ

Looks fantastic Dave! Well done on the Aiguille Dibona too. What a mental looking peak! What grade is the route up it?
For some reason though, I always have a real problem viewing photo-sets in Google+. When I try to look at any more than one picture or run through them as a slideshow, it just seizes up. I joined Google+ today but that hasn't made any difference (and it converts my Picasa albums to Google+ too, so I can't look at them either
).
Any of the tecchies out there know a solution? My browser is Windows Explorer 8, and I've turned off Internet Explorer Compatibility View as suggested, but makes no difference (in fact Google+ is still telling me to upgrade my browser and turn off Compatability View...). Really frustrating as I can't really look at these great photos properly.
(Sorry to sidetrack your thread Dave).

Got my Google+ problem sorted now and can see the photos properly
The Aiguille Dibona looks even more stunning on a big screen. Makes the Inn Pinn look a bit tame to say the least! The beer at the end must have been good.

Thanks all. Mike - it took us 7.5 hours to climb the route (12 pitches; 400m). It was then about 2.5 hours back down to the hut, and then another 2.5 hours back down to the car. Cath - the beer was glorious!

Thanks Neil! I've written a newsletter article/blog post and sent it to Dave McK so when he's back from his own adventures there should be a few words to go with the pictures
