Re: 50 somethings
Just to add that whatever challenge it is, needs to be completed before the Annual dinner, as I will have to organise the certificates to be presented at the Dinner.
My 50/50 challenges will be tame in comparison to most of you guys,
50 outdoor/adventures films/lectures (already clocked up 8 films/3 lectures)
50 rock climbs (start on the Wednesday evening meets)(
50 mountains climbed (4 already done)
I would still love to achieve the thought of club members simultaneously climbing 50 Lakeland peaks at the same time.

Re: 50 somethings
I think there's two types of 50 something challenges here
a) individual challenges e.g. those that Ken has already started for himself
b) group challenges; e.g. 50 LMCers on 50 peaks at once
I propose that we can use the LMC BB to manage them both...
a) individual challenges
By creating a place for people to register/declare their intent, post updates on their progress and eventually trumpet their success.
No prizes here but Ken's certificates sound like a fab idea.
b) group challenges
A thread per challenge will focus people's efforts and let us coordinate dates/times/suggestions.
Some challenges could be coordinated with a meet - maybe use a camping meet in the Lakes for the 50 LMCers on 50 peaks at once?
How are you planning to do the certs Ken - do you need some basic info like who, when and what the 50 something was...

Re: 50 somethings
We've all managed to miss another significant 50th birthday this year - the Pennine Way!

Any club members walking it this year?
I like the 1965-vintage routes idea, but bear in mind just how hard a lot of these will be!

Re: 50 somethings
What about a photo of all the over 50's members ha ha
Re: 50 somethings
what about 50 photos of Kev in provocative poses, I believe Vicky already has 12 suitably tasteful suggestions
It could be like 50 shades of Kev

Re: 50 somethings
or kev could buy 50 pairs of sun glasses to make him 50 shades of Kev !!!!! without the handcuffs ????
Re: 50 somethings
Handcuffs? Good suggestion.
We can incorporate that into tastefully arranged pose No.13.
Kev, you clearly remember nothing about New Year's Eve...

I do have a vague recollection of something along those lines. My lack of memory is nothing to do with alcohol though - I chose to bleach my brain afterwards.
