Walk Saturday 10th April - Ingleborough via Gaping Gill

The sun is shining and Boris says we can venture further afield.

I am planning an ascent of Ingleborough via Gaping Gill on Saturday 10th April. Not the usual way up, but makes for a nice change to the classic Three Peaks ascent route and hopefully a bit quieter.

Meet Clapham National Park Carpark 10am Saturday 10th April 2021. Roadside parking also available.

Distance approx 10 miles
Ascent approx 700 metres
Duration 5 - 6 hours steady pace
Terrain rocky paths

Don't worry, we won't be going down Gaping Gill, we'll save that for the Cavers.

In the event of poor weather conditions the route will be modified. Check the BB.

I'll be at the NP carpark in Clapham by the toilets at 10am, probably wearing my beanie with a yellow bobble.

I'll bring a basic first aid kit with me, a small emergency shelter and PPE should any of you choose to dive unintentionally head over heels and require first aid.
