Eastby - Tue 8th June
Eastby - Tue 8th June
Whose up for adventuring to Eastby crag next Tuesday? Post up below.
Crag is trad climbing single pitch with a very short but steep walk in. See below for grades:
https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag ... y_crag-543
Parking is limited but enough for a few cars in the layby or in Eastby village with a short walk up: map pin is the layby https://maps.app.goo.gl/dJcM1cFPsTA2jU8a8
Approach notes: Turn right after 2nd gate and follow path alongside the wall, then zig zag up to crag.
Eastby is fairly local to me so I can get there 5/5.30 for any early takers. For those travelling from further afield we have the daylight until late so plenty of time to squeeze in a few routes.

Hi Hayley
Please put me and Heike down for comedy value as we're pretty rubbish on grit ... I know, I know ... but it's too local for us not to!

Re: Eastby - Tue 8th June
We should be able to get there by 5 (work-willing)
Re: Eastby - Tue 8th June
For those arriving later, there is parking further up the minor road here:
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Bar ... 4362?hl=en
Obviously that means walking along the road to access said crag.
We've got a forecast of a SW'ly wind, so that should keep the midgies down (hopefully!)
