Crikey! £25 per tent per night sounds a bit steep

I hope their beer is cheap!

I'm in :D, I only have tiny hiking tents though. Maybe I need a cheapo car camping tent.

There's been a lot of grumbling about the price being per pitch rather than per person. So I'm investigating alternatives - watch this space!

I'd be interested in this. Hoping to take the Friday off and head down in afternoon. Only have a small lightweight tent, so also don't mind sharing to save on cost.

Helen - have you tried Gwern gof Uchaf (beneath Tryfan)?

The LMC's stayed there many times in the past (including summer bashes) and never had problems before. I don't know if something has changed with the site.

Yeah, I've contacted several backups including that site and all said no to the group size. I have a hut option or another campsite (The Snowdon Inn which is per person prices and accepts large groups) in Wales I'm looking into for next year as during school holidays Welsh campsites are becoming a thing of nightmares. I'm a bit gutted as I had already made my Welsh climbing hit list!

FYI Biggest changes: Gwern Gof Uchaf has changed to a booking-only site and have been frosty with me the last few times on group size and this time said 10 max. The Tremadog campsite has turned into some sort of glamping site.
