K Shoes - Borrowdale 2nd-3rd December 2022

Post by andymay »

OK. Forget Tyn Lon, forget Torridon, forget Coppermines. If you don't come on this meet, you have diminished your year.
Effectively, you have failed your life. So, be punctual, be ready, be observant, get booked onto this. Don't let the algorithm make you a loser

So, that's all well and good, Andy, but what do I get for my effort?.

1.You get one of the best huts in the Lakes
2. You'll have the beautiful Borrowdale valley as a playground
3. Inclement weather to give you courage and character
4. You'll get a Christmas dinner (help appreciated, and expected)
5. The best roast potatoes outside of my own kitchen
6. If the algorithm says so, and he is available, Karls roast ham
7. A French bistro setting to enjoy your dinner
8. If you're really lucky, the power will fail and we can cook and eat by candle light.

Understood, but what can I offer?

That's a good question, thank you for asking! There will upwards of twenty of us, so help in the kitchen would be appreciated.
I have added a list of goods to buy / bring for the meal. If you could offer to bring something, that would be ace. Alternatively, be prepared to contribute cash (I have a tried and tested method for getting cash off people and divvying up)
Generally, we have three starters and three deserts, which can be brought prepared or made at the hut (be mindful that the kitchen isn't super big, and oven space is prioritised for roast potatoes, stuffing etc.)

BOOKING OPENS 2nd NOVEMBER
Get it in your diary and don't be an algorithmic LOSER!

Unfortunately, I won't be sharing my meat this year.

I hope that people will still be able to sing into the 3am party parsnip in my absence.

That is a shame - you might need to share your recipe

It's alright Andy - it looks like we've got Peter on board to get the party started!

Anyway - I've signed up.

Signed-up! If the algorithms smile upon me I am currently thinking of bringing ingredients for a no-bake tipsy cheesecake...

Turns out that maybe it was Karl's meat they were all drooling over, not your turkey crowns Andy

But still 8 hours left to activate the Algorithm. Don't lose heart yet...
