Three weeks with Sherpa Kenzing (and a guest appearance from PJ) from the Grand Combin to Zermatt; backpacking part of the way, camping and bivvying only, no big huts!

See if this album link works, let me know if you can't see the pics.
The tick list:
SW Face of Combin de Valsorey (4184m) PD+
Combin de Grafeneire (4314m)
Combin de la Tsessette (4141m)
- linked in 9.5 hours from the Musso Bivvy Hut.
Lyskamm West (4479m), and traverse to Lyskamm East (4527m) AD then back again.
- involving TWO traverses of Castor (4228m) back to the Rossi e Volante. Sheesh...
Weisshorn East Ridge (4505m) AD
- on the 2nd attempt, so we did the mind-numbing 4 hour hut climb twice. Really earned that one!
Briethorn (4164m) PD-
- bagged in 1hr 15m from Klein Matterhorn, on the way to the Rossi e Volante Bivvy.
Honourable mention: Hornli Ridge of the Matterhorn, turned around at the Solvay Refuge as we were too far off the pace. Next year...

Looks great Keith!
A guest appearance from PJ eh? He wasn't the mystery Italian who joined you for the day was he? Might have picked up a bit of an accent from the kids perhaps?

Haha no definitely not PJ. Very Italian, spoke little English, and followed us around like a lost dog.

Great photos of the Matterhorn!
The boulder perched on the tall pinnacle reminds me of the ones we saw in Chamonix. Pretty scary walking past them when the gravel underneath the pile was slowly falling away....ticking time bomb....
