Snowdon Horseshoe

Post by CathS »

I went on a trip to Snowdonia today (I'm lucky enough to be able to do that from where I live), and had a fantastic day doing the Snowdon Horseshoe. Lovely warm weather and unbelievably it was completely deserted! I had the whole of the Crib Goch and Lliwedd ridges to myself.

I'd forgotten what a truly spectacular place it is. If you ignore the desecration of Snowdon summit, it must be the best mountain day to be had in the UK outside of the Highlands. Some piccies here:

I think I might stick to taking selfies of my feet rather than my face in the future though :?

I Have done Crib Goch twice in the past two months, once in snow the other one in good weather.

Both North Ridge accent.

Its amazing how many people are un-prepared up there, we saw the helicopter lift someone of the east ridge, and plenty of blood in the snow.

Be careful out there.

Oddly enough, I returned with a South Ridge accent...
