Re: So what is this thing called Orientbeering?
I've changed the team lists according to all the messages we've had from people about whether they can make the 24th
Re: So what is this thing called Orientbeering?
Arriving at the bus stop on otley rd at 2pm, will one of us already have a map? How does the group thing work? Do we all go together, or do we split up?
Re: So what is this thing called Orientbeering?
Thanks for adding me to the list - looking forward to it.

It's up to you and the team! You can do it all together, or split up and race each other. Me and Hayley will brief the teams at the start points tomorrow, see you therePaul_C wrote:Arriving at the bus stop on otley rd at 2pm, will one of us already have a map? The day of reckoning is fast approaching!
Top tip - bring a bottle opener.....
I will meet and greet the bus stop team to give you the lowdown before you set off and to distribute annotated orienteering maps, while Hayley does the same for the car park team.
See you on Saturday!

So excited. Just so I can give the wife a heads up, how long do you think this challenge will be?joeytalbot wrote:The day of reckoning is fast approaching!

It depends on your navigational skills and how fast you and your team mates can run after drinking! There are 6 control points, scattered across the Chevin. It might take a couple of hours or so.

*Three spaces going if you fancy a boozy ramble through Otley Chevin at 2pm....
*EDIT: 1 space Team A, 2 spaces Team B
Speak now or forever hold your froth

I'm really hoping there's some tales to tell after today!
And hopefully the rain didn't dilute the beer too much!

Well done folks!! No rain could stop the beer hunt of the thirsty climbers I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did (I am now scoffing the cakes).
Big thanks to Karolina and Lukasz for stepping in to save the day at the last moment.
I could apologise for stashing the beer in the most hidden of hideyholes. Or I could just cackle gleefully.
