COVID Update - May 2021

Post by Lindsay M »

Following last night's announcement, COVID19 restrictions are easing from 17th May.

What this means for LMC:
All day meets (climbing and walking) will be open to a maximum of 30 people, without requiring a risk assessment
Camping meets will be going ahead according to the calendar
Hut meets later in the year are still TBC

What hasn't changed:
For all meets, you must still book on via the bulletin board so we can ensure the group size doesn't exceed 30
You must have signed up as a provisional member on our website to attend any meet (assuming you're not already a full member)
You should provide your own equipment where possible and carry hand sanitiser (particularly when shared equipment is necessary eg quickdraws, rope)
We still need to maintain distance where possible and be mindful on guidance regarding travel, post meet pub attendance etc
We will also be bearing in mind things like parking etc so if a meet is becoming particularly large we may need to cap numbers below 30 or add a second location and split into groups.
