I'm in, last time was great.
Re: Giggleswick 22nd May
Hi
Could you put me and Heike down for this one too please?
We've only managed 1 club meet so far (COVID saw to that!) but we're hopefully ok to attend this one (got plenty of experience). Please let me know if there's anything we need to know.
Many thanks
Ed

Re: Giggleswick 22nd May
Hiya,
Can I sign up too please? Weather forecast is (touch wood) looking ok for Saturday.
Giggleswick is also temptingly close to Gisburn forest, which has an 11 mile red MTB route - anyone up for taking bikes and having a blast round if the rock's a bit wet or if some showers roll in?

Re: Giggleswick 22nd May
Forecast is still looking dry for tomorrow so I will be putting on my most rose tinted glasses and heading out as planned.
Obviously some routes may be a bit soggy so we may have to have a look around to decide what to climb, but as a preliminary plan I will head for the wilderness walls at Giggleswick south. Planning to park up around 10. I think with the numbers we have we shouldn't have to worry too much about splitting ourselves into smaller groups but obviously we'll play it by ear depending how many others are out.

I'll park here: https://goo.gl/maps/vRdD4NjCvw8CRYny7
There is a smaller layby near the golf club but it won't fit all of us and for the wilderness walls there isn't much difference in the walk in.

Re: Giggleswick 22nd May
Morning
Don’t know if it affects anyone’s plans but I can report that it’s wet and drizzling over here (Skipton-way).
As I don’t have any phone numbers, could someone please post on here if it gets called off?
Thanks
Ed

Re: Giggleswick 22nd May
It's dry in Settle - this final band of rain has already moved through there - so I *think* we'll be ok!

Re: Giggleswick 22nd May
Hi,
I'm running a bit late. But should be there about 1030. Can someone post the crag you are going to so I can catch up?
Thanks,
Alec

Re: Giggleswick 22nd May
Aiming for wilderness walls, probably in the region of puckoon but I'll update if that changes
Re: Giggleswick 22nd May
Thanks for an ace day out
Hadn’t expected the walk in to be the dicier than the climbing!
