Buttermere 22nd/23rd July Camping Meet - booking open!

Yes, another Lake District summer camping meet! Totally spoilt we are.

This one is Friday 22nd/Sat 23rd nights at Syke Farm Campsite, Cockermouth CA13 9XA. https://www.sykefarmcampsite.com/

The campsite is small with lots of nooks and crannies and best suited for smaller tents. Small camping vans are welcome but there is no vehicular access on to the campsite so they would have to stay in the carpark or overflow carpark. The camping field is accessed over a small pedestrian footbridge. There is also a bothy with a shower and toilet, and it acts as a small indoor space for route planning etc in bad weather.

Prices per night:
Adult - £ 9.00
Children ( 3- 16yrs) - £ 4.00
Children (under 3) - Free
Cars- £4.00 Per Car Per Night
Dogs - Free

Due to the nature of the site there are only 20 places available.

Excitingly, we are using this meet to trial our new hut booking system (I know it's not a hut, bear with) SO if you wish to attend this meet you'll have to sign up using the system below:

1. Log in to your account at https://www.leedsmc.org/login (not the same password / username as the Bulletin Board!)
2. Click the Membership drop down and select "My Details".
3. On the My Meets card select "Sign Up". Navigate to the meet you wish to sign up for. It will either say "Opens On xx/xx/xx" or "Sign Up".
4. To sign up for an open meet click "Sign Up". This will take you to the sign up page for that meet. You can also navigate to this page from the Meets Calendar (https://www.leedsmc.org/calendar).
5. On the meet page click the "Sign Up!" button. You should then see your name added to the list of Sign ups (pending).
6. Pending attendees are confirmed at the end of each day. If there are more attendees than places then places are assigned randomly on a daily basis, otherwise you will be confirmed automatically the next day.
7. To remove your pending sign up you can click "cancel sign up". You can only cancel as a pending attendee, once you have been confirmed on a meet you can only cancel by contacting the meet leader.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you've not paid your subs, you won't be given the option to sign up. If there is any issue, please get in touch with me. :D

Please post your intentions to attend below for planning stuff/lift shares.

Further note - As the system is designed for hut meets, it will tell you that you have to pay or lose your place. IGNORE THIS! Once your place is confirmed on the list and you can pay for camping as normal :)

Please post up here when you have signed up on the system so we can check it has worked as intended. In the case of system boo boos we can then revert to the bb for order of sign up.

If you encounter any bugs/errors, please screenshot your error message and send it with a description of what you were doing that caused it to leedsmc@gmail.com

I fancy coming along to this. I'll be bringing Arlo so will probably drive up alone. Looking forward to some walking but I'll also throw in my climbing gear too!

Just signed up for this. The LMC are so 'hip to the trip' with all this I.T.
Good job we don't have any Oldies in the club, they might struggle with it all.
But then again, who cares about them?

Cheers

Luckily John the meet leader can add people on if they're struggling with IT :)
