Walking Meet - Sat 17th Sept - 3 Peaks

Our next walking meet is the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on Saturday 17th September and David Ponting has kindly offered to lead this one. Thank you!

I was going to propose doing the classic route starting in Horton-in-Ribblesdale around 8am, depending on the group and expected speed! There are various camping options nearby which I'm more than happy to contact if people would like to camp up the night before too.

I fancy this but very limited for time this weekend (have a birthday party to get back for). Would anyone be interested in “tabbing” the route. I’d probably have up to six hours from an 0800 start.

I hope that doesn’t disrupt the group, and if so please disregard the idea.

Won’t be able to keep up with you - I’ve got a slightly dodgy hip that doesn’t enjoy long runs - but have stuck you on the attendees list! I should be able to get round in 10-11 hours (did it in 10:30 last time, 8:45 of that moving). Anyone keen for either indicated pace, post up with which!

No interest? I’m cancelling the meet now (Ashley has told me he also can’t make it) and going on a hundred mile cycle…!
