I'll bring myself a burns night dinner so people don't have to worry about my complicated dietary requirements but it'll feel like I'm part of the meal.

Also me and Dixy will come up in the van. Haven't decided on exact times yet but there might be space for an extra passenger in the van going from Shipley.

Unless having suggested it I'm locked into buying haggis, I'll bring a pudding of some form!

Hi Paul, really sorry - have only just seen this bit of the thread with the survey. I’ve completed it but it only seemed to have one question on it, is that right?

Report from this weekend from someome in the Lakes - Paul Hudson, I was up dodd near skiddaw, the high tops were snow covered and more snow due. The rain has been flling in the valleys so the lakes are very full as well and places like stickle ghyll will be In full flow but it'll be amazing. I'm heading up again at weekend to go on the higher tops with the crampons if the cold snap due last till the weekend.

Burns night meal - this is the list - Make a note of your spends so we can work out equal costs for the group.

Harriet
Alice Jones
Clare Avory
John Spurling
David Ponting
Sarah Sharps
Paul Hudson
James Rowe
Sarah McCullagh
Maddie
Ruth Jowett
-----
9 meat being bought by JohnS2
2 Vegi - Bought
----
So David and James - if you contribute here keep a note of expenditure so we all share the costs at the hut.
the suggestion was "Haggis, Neeps (Swedes) and Tatties for a main and build around that" I see from another group they include Carrots and peas
I need help here with amounts, and how the Neeps and tatties are prepared for this as I have never delved into this meal before. i presume gravy is an important element.

so will need (I think)
3.kg/potatoes, such as Maris Piper or King Edward
3 kg swede Bought by Paul H
2kg carrots being bought by Alice
Meat Haggis for 9 people being bought by JohnS2 and making the whisky sauce as well
Vegi haggis for 2 people - BOUGHT
Gravy 1, (some say with whisky)
Gravy 2

Puddings for 11 people
David Ponting is making a pudding but I do not know what pudding - 1
'hewood' I'm happy to bring another pudding. so that is pudding 2 & 3

I'm happy to bring another pudding.

I've heard concerning news that gravy isn't actually an integral part of it, but I'm also of the camp it should be included at every opportunity

Hi I’ve been away for a week. Filled out the survey but if it’s too late let me know & I’ll cater for myself.

Who's in the FRCC hut, and who's in the GS hut?

Asking so we can start to sort transport.

The obvious possibility is for me to take Clare A, Luke and Alice, though that depends on whether they want to go to different places.

Ta,

JR.
