My curry will serve 8 or so full portions, but suspect that it will end up being had by more people as smaller amounts… if the others are similar then switching out to poppadoms would be great; we probably don’t need 48 portions of curry!

Would think we do still want to share the costs; they could be quite asymmetric?

*Ahem* whatever happened to the club motto of Never Knowingly Undercatered??? ;-)

More seriously: with regard to costs, people just need to keep abreast of their costs and then we can work out whom owes what to whom a la the K-shoes meet.
(some maths required)

We also could do with someone bringing the poppadoms and another pudding - any volunteers?
I still have some oranges if there are any takers for monster pudding 2.0?

I'm afraid I'll have to pull out of this weekend. Hope you have a great time there!

There seems to be a tomatoes shortage, so I will make raita instead.

For those that haven’t read the hut instructions- bring pillows and £1 coins for the meter* in addition to all the usual stuff that you’d bring, and if a few people could bring tea towels that’d be great!

*separate statements; the meter will not work if we feed pillows to it :p

I will do a smaller curry. Will feed 3-4 people maybe.

Mine will currently be good for 4 'normal' sized portions currently -
6/8 smaller. Trying to get some more spinach to expand on this but it's not proving easy!

Alice and I will switch to just bringing some poppadoms as it looks like there will be more than enough curry.

To quote both Bill and Ted: A most excellent meet! ;-)

It turns out that it is possible to go to North Wales and it not rain!
Trad routes were lead on sun-warmed rock!
People went on ridiculously long walks and then complained about being tired!
Separate chip portion orders nearly caused a major international incident!
We outdid ourselves yet again on the 'never knowingly undercatered' front!
There was TIRAMASU!
There was still TIRAMASU for breakfast the following day!
There was laughter and inappropriate humour!

JR.

PS and a personal thanks to Alice and Luke for doing the driving duty this time!

Oh I'm so triggered now that I didn't go even tho I could not. Saw your "Bill and Ted" quote and while playing with ChatGPT I simply couldn't resist, so there you go in a Shakespearean style...
Oh, wondrous news that echoes from afar,
That North Wales may be reached sans a rain-filled jar!
Trad routes, basked in sun-warmed rock's fair light,
And feet were worn from walks that stretched 'til night.

Yet grumbles could be heard from tired souls,
Who journeyed far and long to reach their goals.
And oh, how close we came to strife and war,
When separate chip portions nearly caused a great uproar!

But lo, we triumphed once again,
On the front of never undercatering men.
For TIRAMASU graced our plates with delight,
And even at breakfast, it still shone bright!

Amidst the mirth and jest, we shared in cheer,
And laughed and joked with humor, oh so dear!

Thanks for a wonderful meet (as expected) everyone!

I think there was a great mix of everything achieved - walks, scrambles, climbs, mtb, slate adventures... and of course food :p. John, Harriet and I went over Y Garn and Elidir Fawr on the Friday, starting in the clag but clearing to sunset and finishing in the dark. In a now-rare turn of events, Luke and Alice found both hills and paths that I hadn't done before for the Saturday (the back way up Carnedd Llewelyn from the east). On the Sunday John took Harriet and I for a Proper Slate Adventure (TM), and I opened my sport climbing book for the year by pushing my grade (Fresh Air, 6a/6a+), and Harriet got her first sport lead in on Steps of Glory (5a/5b) - both routes have variable grades depending on what you read; I'd probably agree with the harder grade for both.

The link to the photo album is in the private section; get uploading (I'm beginning to think that there ought to be links to the recipe book as well as the photo album).

If there is a recipe page - let me know as I've had requests for my famous flapjack recipe!

@Lukasz - that ChatGPT creation was dreadful/amazing in equal measure!
