UPDATE Langdale Meet Weekend 8th 9th September

Post by JohnS2 »

CANCELLED DUE TO LOW INTEREST

:?: Where:

https://baysbrownfarmcampsite.co.uk/ No need to book but please sign up so I can let them know the numbers. Well-behaved dogs are allowed. Chapel Stile has a small shop and pub
Pay on arrival in cash or by card.

It's £12.50 a night, Pay on arrival in cash or by card.
Please arrive before 10pm
BBQs and fires allowed off the ground
Tasty breakfast bits and cakes sold often on site
Quiet after 11pm

What

It's a great place for climbing: easy multi-pitch, hard multi-pitch, single-pitch, bouldering and sport climbing! There are also big scrambles and lovely mountain hikes to go at. Also, wild swimming and ghyll scrambles to be had if it's too hot.

Newbies

New people are welcome, if you want to climb make sure you have a harness, and a belay plate (helmet is also strongly advised) and can tie in and lead belay. Please be honest about your experience so you don't find yourself on a multi-pitch climb without the necessary experience.

And the first half of September is looking generally dry and mild, so there's no excuse to not sign up (unless you're away already - that's a good excuse!)

I'm keen for this. Would be looking for easy access crags without a long walk in and doing some low grade routes VD-S. Possibly Sheperds Crag, Scout Crag or maybe White Gyhll.
