Castle Naze Saturday 23rd Sept

Post by Gmatthew »

Due to seemingly low psyche for camping meets ATM I have decided to make this a day meet to Castle Naze in the peak district. May move to Sunday if weather is bad.

Lots of nice friendly routes to climb and a lovely setting in the Western Peak.

Parking is very limited so car sharing is essential. Park here - https://goo.gl/maps/GV1Z6kGKhzvyiJpX9, walk up the road about 30m and take the path up the hill. It's about a 10 minute walk in.

I will be leaving Halifax about 8.30am. Can offer a lift from here or maybe pick up on the way if not too much of a detour.

I was quite looking forward to going to North Wales/Holyhead. Did I miss a post to sign up for it?

I'll be up for this. Happy to work out a lift share, either from mine or pick up people along the way.

I am probably either doing an overnight in the Peak on Saturday to make the most of it or not coming at all. Looking like the former at the moment.

I'm busy (leading a meet for another club!) but hopefully we'll both have good weather and a decent turnout! ;-)

I do have a soft spot for Castle Naze.

After the langdale meet got cancelled I asked around and no one seemed interested in Holyhead.

Hi all, I've never been to a meet before but keen to join this weekend. If there is a lift going that would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

I live in Burley/ Kirkstall. Would you be able to give me a lift there by any chance please?

Hi all, I can make it this weekend. My first outdoor meet, I can offer a lift or willing to travel to meet somebody for a lift. I live in Castleford.

Me too. Keen to do 2 days in the peak if the weather holds on Sunday too. Though that might be too hopeful :-/

I'm keen to head outside tomorrow!

Would anybody have a space free to pick me up along the way in Sheffield? Not sure if that's really 'on the way' for many ppl as I guess not if travelling from eg. Shipley.

I'm not going to be here now, as I've decided to do a spur of the moment day raid on the lakes. Enjoy folks 😁
