Re: LMC recipe thread

My famous flapjacks! (Note: most definitely NOT vegan!) Base amounts are for 20x20cm baking tin: scale as appropriate to the size of your cookware. Preheat oven to Gas Mark 6 (200 degrees C or 180 degrees C for a fan oven). Grease the baking tin by your preferred method - I've found lining the tin w...

If there is a recipe page - let me know as I've had requests for my famous flapjack recipe!

@Lukasz - that ChatGPT creation was dreadful/amazing in equal measure!

Re: Tan-Y-Garth, 24th-25th February

To quote both Bill and Ted: A most excellent meet! ;-) It turns out that it is possible to go to North Wales and it not rain! Trad routes were lead on sun-warmed rock! People went on ridiculously long walks and then complained about being tired! Separate chip portion orders nearly caused a major int...

Re: Tan-Y-Garth, 24th-25th February

... we probably don’t need 48 portions of curry! *Ahem* whatever happened to the club motto of Never Knowingly Undercatered??? ;-) More seriously: with regard to costs, people just need to keep abreast of their costs and then we can work out whom owes what to whom a la the K-shoes meet. (some...

Re: Tan-Y-Garth, 24th-25th February

I'm keeping an eye on the weather to see if it might be climbable - in which case, I will bring said kit too.

Luke - cheers for the offer of a lift :-)

Re: Tan-Y-Garth, 24th-25th February

I expect that Luke, Alice and myself will be sharing transport.

I don't think there's anyone else on the list from Shipley/Bingley/Baildon way is there?

Cheers Ben - it dawned on me this morning that I've never 'ticked' them! Although I have at least done some of the climbs on the crag on their East face (Kirkus Corner, etc).

Re: Tan-Y-Garth, 24th-25th February

On the outside chance that the weather in Snowdonia/Eryri in late Feburary isn't conducive to climbing    who's interested in ticking off the Moelwyns and/or Arenigs?

RE transport - my options are limited by the fact that I need to be back for Monday, but I can take Friday afternoon off - if I was driving I'd be leaving between 2 and 3 PM to time it to avoid Glasgow rush hour.

Re: Patterdale and the George Starkey Hut - 27th to 28th Jan 2023

Fantastic meet everyone: once again living up to our unofficial (?) tagline of "Never knowingly undercatered" Worse weather than forecast yesterday, but the strong winds held off a little longer than forecast today so I think everyone got out and did what they'd planned to do :-) Big...
