Braemar (Muir Cottage) 10 & 11 March 2023
Braemar (Muir Cottage) 10 & 11 March 2023
Bookings open for the Braemar meet on Friday 10 February. We have booked 18 places at the Cairngorm Hut at Braemar for 2 nights (Friday 10/Saturday 11 March).
I'm planning to travel up early, spending Wednesday and Thursday 8 and 9 at the hut to make it a 4 night night trip. Helen has confirmed that LMC members on the meet can book extra nights, either before or after the meet, through the LMC. Can you please post on the Bulletin Board or send me a private message if you are interested in staying at the hut for extra nights.
Muir Cottage, also known as Muir of Inverey, is situated on the north side of the Linn of Dee road, some 8 kilometres west of Braemar, about 1 kilometre beyond the bridge over the River Ey, shortly before the road approaches the River Dee (OS grid reference 076896).
It is a lovely comfortable hut and a good base for exploring the Cairngorms. The accommodation comprises a common room a woodburning stove, ia kitchen in a side extension, and four bedrooms, three washrooms (all with a shower cubicle, and one equipped for disabled users), and a drying room in the wooden extension. The kitchen is well equipped with two electric cookers (4-ring ceramic hobs with ovens below) and two microwaves, a plumbed-in hot water dispenser, a large larder refrigerator and a large fridge-freezer.
Bookings confirmed at end of day 1

Re: Braemar (Muir Cottage) 10 & 11 March 2023
I'm keen for this - and keen to extend; probably matching dates with Paul (i.e. driving up after work on Wednesday), but this is flexible.
—edit - this is no longer certain that I can make it, unfortunately…

I’ve tried to sign up for this meet, but not allowed as it says not paid subs. I have paid subs though. Can somebody add me on?
Re: Braemar (Muir Cottage) 10 & 11 March 2023
Good Morning Paul, I would like to book an extra night on the Sunday night 12 March if that is possible. Is the fee for the extra night a different rate and who is it payable to?

Hi peter you're marked as paid now and I've signed you up
